INKSPACE have been working closely with the client on the design of this new, contemporary side and rear extension to a property in Poole.

Our clients have chosen to add an en-suite and dressing room to the master bedroom at first floor, as well as focusing their attention on extending the ground floor and opening up the kitchen and living space at the rear of the property.

The form of the extension references a traditional pitch but is striking in its alternative use of materials and tall, thin glazing. This simplified take on a traditional form allows for a similar sense of character internally, whilst enjoying the benefits of a lighter and sleeker finish that is more in keeping with the properties modern decor. The new internal layout better priorities family life, allowing for a large open-plan kitchen and living space towards the rear of the property, designed as the new heart of the home. 

With planning approved and the detailed design stage complete, the project is due to start on site in June 2021. We’ll keep you updated on the final results!
