Renovation and Re-design

in Dorset

Just up from the Beach at Branksome Dene Chine, we have been working on the renovation of a large, 1930’s detached home that needed some love. Re-locating to the area, our clients approached us to help them turn their new home, which had a dated layout and a lack of natural light, into a modern and bright place to live. We have re-designed the internal layout of the house, to provide a modern and comfortable kitchen, dining and living space on the ground floor, alongside a separate lounge and large utility room. On the first floor, there is now an impressive master suite, complete with a free-standing, roll-top bath, and a dressing room. Off the landing are a further 3 bedrooms and a family shower room.

Internally, the house already had a huge number of traditional features that our clients were keen to retain. These have been renovated and complemented further, through the introduction glazed screens between the hallway and snug, and between the hallway and sitting room. By introducing these new design features, we have allowed the spaces to remain separate, whilst flooding them with natural light and the result is a house that feels bright, contemporary, and warm.

Construction works commenced on site with Howarth Construction in March 2022 and the project was completed in July 2022.

If you have a project in mind we’d be very happy to help you bring it to life
